Hi guys, I’m Ivana and I’m 25 years old.

For as long as I can remember I have always loved sports and the idea of being active. At school I always looked most forward to P.E class where I felt like I could fully express myself. I played football and netball at school and then got into Ju-Jitsu for 3 years. At 15 years old I had a knee injury which unfortunately lead me to dial down a bit on sports.

After graduating from ITS and getting a career in the hospitality industry I soon realized that it wasn’t the career I was looking for. I went back to school to get an Intermediate level in P.E where I was introduced to weightlifting.

I started CrossFit back in 2019 without really knowing what I was getting into. At that time, I was only looking for a way to start moving again after years of dealing with an injury. Little did I know this sport would change my life.

Fast forward 3 years, I decided to quit my full time job and go back to school to read for a degree in Sports Science. A few months later I was offered to start being trained as coach at CrossFit F15. Soon enough I got my CrossFit Level 1 Trainer certificate and started coaching a couple of months after.

For me CrossFit is not about getting a nicer body or about getting a PR every other week. It’s the feeling of accomplishment I get after pushing myself to do something I thought I was incapable of doing. The best part about CrossFit is being surrounded by people who support you and always try to lift you up.
My 2 favorite movements in CrossFit are the Clean and Jerk and handstand push-ups. My least favorite are the Snatch and the assault bike.
